Trained formally as both a cultural anthropologist and a fine artist, Watters integrates her dedication to the arts and culture into her work. Her background and experience in the arts is extensive; she directed project development for the prestigious American Photographic Archives and founded the The Sports & Entertainment Galleries. Conceived as an overarching artistic environment, her award-winning galleries were home to poetry readings, concerts, community activities and monthly art openings.
Currently she focuses on her paintings, fine art cards and artist books. She shows some of these at Handmade Galleries in Sherman Oaks.
